rabbit rabbit rabbit

In honor of my sister getting these two adorable rabbits I had to do a post.  I can't believe I went the entire month without posting anything.  Actually, I can believe it.  There were only a few times that I realized I hadn't posted anything in days...weeks...a month.  Lets just say October was a crazy month that I didn't really feel like posting about.

I still can't really believe I am at a new job yet.  Last week was four long excruciation days of training.  My favorite screenshot was this:

It was a list of made up sales associates, that had to be intentional.  There is someone who works on the training videos for Saks who is a die hard Seinfeld fan.

Otherwise training was grueling.  Just long hours of watching training modules.  Most of it was fairly easy for me, which of course made me feel guilty for abandoning my old job.  I would never have been qualified for this one if it weren't for the things I'd learned there.  I'm nervous about this new one though.  As much as it's the same as my last job there are a lot of ways that it's very different.

I'm off today and tomorrow and then go in Monday for my first day on the floor.  Wish me luck.

rabbit rabbit rabbit

Usually April first is an easy rabbit picture as I usually use it as an excuse to post a picture of another animal masquerading as a rabbit, but I just happened to learn about "bunny island" recently and had to post about it for my 1st of the month post.

LOOK AT HOW NICE THEY ARE!!

: (

Apparently it's in Japan and when I searched for it I came across this article: Things are looking a bit harey! Woman flees bunny stampede on Japan's Rabbit Island

 with video:

I love how dramatic that article makes it sound.  She's obviously enjoying herself, as anybody would in this situation.

But anyways, April 1st, did part 1 of my training for my new job today.  Tomorrow is going to be a long day, but at least I got out early today and am off the day after.  I'm anxious to just start already and get back in to the swing of things.

All of this change is motivating me to go through some piles of junk I have laying around and get things organized.  Might as well take advantage of my unexpected free time in the middle of the day.

Here's the calendar page for the month:

I like him.

sorry, two weeks

For what its worth I took that picture on Friday after I finished my morning oil pulling, I just never found time to post it.

I've been having all kind of issues in life lately.  For one, I am too obsessed with app games for my iphone so now I have zero storage space available.  I can only take two or three photos before it's too full, and I've deleted everything else possible besides the games that I would lose all my progress in if I got rid of them.   Obviously that isn't happening.

So until I get an ipad to feed my addiction it's going to be hard for me to take photos for my blog.  Of course before I get an Ipad I will have to become comfortable with the idea that I am actually going to commit to owning an iphone, ipad, air, and imac.  And just so I can keep playing candy crush.

In other news, yesterday was supposed to be my last day at the boutique, before starting at my new job on Monday.  Instead I ended up getting called in to work all day today, meaning I get no break before starting my week of "training".  The most annoying part of this week of training is that all of my days are only really a few hours, so even though I will have to be there every single day, I won't even be able to look forward to a paycheck that's any more substantial than usual.  And I'm going to have to waste five days worth of black outfits on nothing.  I really need to get dressed in my suit to sit at a computer terminal and learn about how to use the cash register?

If I can make it through this week I obviously need to reward myself with an ipad.  And also, imagine how white my teeth are going to be when training is all done!

all day with this

I literally spent all day today in front of a computer screen doing training for my new job.  It was generally absurd.  There were only a few parts where I was actually learning things that were applicable to my job.  The majority of my time was spent waiting for the stupid videos to load.

I mean, it's no wonder I need to verify their information before I sign them up for a credit card.  Look at her face!  She is definitely hiding something, and the expression on his face says, "you better not ask what she's hiding".

I also grew to HATE this woman:

Her face came up with a little speech bubble offering me helpful tips at various points.  It looks less like she is smiling and more like she had her jaw wired shut and she's trying to communicate that she needs help through her eyes.

My favorite part was the section about diversity.  They framed it around a fictional bookstore and used the 6 employees as examples to highlight how diversity comes in to play in the workplace.  At various points they would have the six different employees pictures and then next to them it would say something about them to show how they were diverse such as how long they had been with the company, or what their positions were.  My jaw hit the floor when they pulled up all six headshots and then next to them listed if the employee was heterosexual or homosexual.  Really?!  Shouldn't part of the diversity training be about how it's none of your business what your coworkers sexual orientation is?  Or am I supposed to make a roster of all my employees to keep track of their various sexual orientations.  You know, for diversity.

Aptly the final section I had to work on was about "difficult work situations".  This pretty much sums up how I felt after a full day of dealing with this nonsense:

Child please, don't even play with me.
