so this is amazing

I would recommend buying this immediately, if not sooner.

I haven't decided which song is my favorite yet, but this is definitely my favorite part of the notes on their website:

This song will forever make me think of riding home from school with Leah and Ashley.

I think I would have been really disturbed by this music video if I'd seen it at the time.  I'm actually still pretty disturbed by it even now.

What does it all mean?  I don't know, but I am pleased to have been able to work fool in to this love song montage.

love song #3, for Meghan and Leah

This love song goes out to Leah and Meghan and everyone else who texted me at 8:15 to ask if I was watching the halftime show.  Sadly, no, I was at work and did not get to see the halftime show, but I will surely watch it in the coming days and make my decisions on it.

In the meantime, I can't hear from Leah or Meghan without thinking of this Cake song, so I decided to make it my love song #3.  I didn't even know there was a video but I am obsessed with it now.  It has everything I love; cooking competitions, celebrity cameos, that Cake song I love.  The only thing that would make it better would be if they had somehow worked in the detectives from the Special Victims Unit.

Still, it does have my new favorite quote,  "I can't give you a 10 because of these damn peas".

It's like the words were stolen right out of my mouth.

I found them at work, at a separate desk from wooly willy.  You know how willy gets with the ladies.

Anyways, nesting dolls will always make me think of Leah, and make me miss her fondly.

dream date pt 1

Last week at work I decided that I wanted to take in a day at the Theatre so I asked Dan if he'd be interested in accompanying me.  He said he was and that he would even wear a dress, which he didn't.  But we still had a magical dream date on Sunday together. 

We got to the show early because I was paranoid about getting our tickets so we ended up being like 40 minutes ahead of time for a show that was not very well attended to begin with.  After sitting in the lobby for a few minutes we decided that we should probably go somewhere and get a drink while we waited instead of being lurkers. 

We found this cute bar in the west village that actually had a live band!  It was so fun, and kind of sad because there were maybe 4 or 5 other people at the bar besides us to even listen to them.  But even so, it was really cool, I forget how fun live music is.  It made me remember all the times I've been places to hear Leah sing, like in the lobby of Charleston Place.  I always feel so sophisticated. 

Whatever this bar was that we ended up at we picked it because Dan said they had the BEST bloody mary's:

They decidedly were not the best bloody mary's but they weren't the worst.  The worst bloody mary I've ever had was at HK, but I digress.  These just needed a little salt and pepper and they were good to go.

I'll have what she's having

Feeling kind of bummed today for a couple different reasons, but When Harry Met Sally is on tv and it is helping take my mind off my troubles.

This scene just happened, I will never be able to watch it without laughing. Part of the reason I love this scene so much too is it always reminds me of Leah and how much she loved the old lady at the end. This of course always makes me think of how much she loved the guy in Happy Gilmore who randomly says, "you can do it Happy, Shooter's gonna choke". Why this was Leah's favorite line I don't know, but it was and she would rewind and watch it over and over again.

Jon doesn't like When Harry Met Sally, I think because it has too many white people in it. I don't understand how he can't love it though. Meg Ryan is so adorable and I love the little stories with the old people intertwined. Even if they were just actors and not real couples they are still really sweet stories.

I also appreciate that Meg Ryan says that your biological clock doesn't start ticking until you are 37. And that was back in the 80s, so now your biological clock shouldn't start ticking until you're like 40 right? Although, if I go to my real idol, Marissa Tomei in My Cousin Vinnie then my biological clock should already be ticking. Hmmm, now I want to go shopping online for backless floral print body suits.
