I wanted something new and different and Toni came up with the shaved in line.  She actually had never done it before so we had to bring in a council of hairdressers to get advice.  My favorite was the guy who had the shaved in part himself, and said, "I actually follow through with it all the way back to my bald spot.  My hope is people will think my hair loss is part of the look".

I really like it although nobody at work said anything yesterday.  Still, I was cool as a cucumber working in the stock room with the breeze blowing through my part.

Toni kept asking why I hadn't taken a selfie.  It's just kind of hard to capture without my face looking hideous...

But you get the idea.  I wonder how frequently I'm going to have to go back for maintenance.  If only JONATHAN lived down here and could do touch ups for me.

Gauzy

I sent Ariel an email the other day asking her when she was going to do another guest blog post and she replied that she may have outdone herself with the jack in the box clown head and wasn't sure when she'd be able to top that.

As consolation she said she'd been working on some new music and directed me to gauzy.  Ugh, how is she so good at everything she does?

Someday I hope to be as cool as Ariel.

Sometimes I think the detective is special needs (citation) and then sometimes I'm astounded by his brilliance.  For example, he knows when I am going to make a tuna salad sandwich based on the sound of me taking the first dish out of the cupboard.  Because I use a specific bowl to mix the ingredients, he has learned the sound and will wake up from a sound sleep and come running in to the kitchen.

Initially he would react when he heard me opening the can of tuna so I would only have to deal with maybe 30 seconds of shrill screaming before I could set the can down for him to lick clean.  Gradually he learned the steps and would start screaming earlier and earlier in the process.  Now he's gotten it down to the dishes, but he sometimes gets it wrong.  When that happens I have to show him what I'm making and that he's not interested in it before he will leave me alone.

Anyways, the point is that I think he has learned the difference between what I look like when I'm just leaving for a few minutes and what I look like when I am leaving for work.  I am pretty sure it's the fact that I wear shoes to work but flip flops any other time.  So now when I am getting ready for work he tries to figure out ways to impede my progress.

Like camping out on top of my sunglasses.

I know it's not actually Austin Power's shaguar but that's what it reminded me of when I came around the corner and saw it parked in somebody's front yard.

I was nervous about taking the picture but then I realized that they had it out for advertising.

It worked on me!

A man came in to the store wearing this, the most amazing fashion accessory I have ever seen.  I can't even explain how amazing it was in person, it was literally dazzling.  I am assuming it was all real gems by the amount of flashing it did as he walked through the store.

I WANT ONE.

When I took the picture I told him it looked even better with the background.

Wow, it's like a whole new blog around here!  Amy (of ilikeyoulikeyou.com fame) designed some really amazing logos for my blog and inspired me to do a complete makeover.

i'm huge in japan

I can look at all kinds of things about my blog, like a graph of activity, a breakdown of what percentage of viewers are mac and pc, etc. One interesting thing is that it will show me what countries I'm getting hits from.
