is this true?!
I can't tell, I need my smart friends to investigate:
this
From what I can gather it's saying that I've already been exposed so there is no point in fighting it. I am just going to continue in my downward spiral to being an isolated malcontent with no hopes or prospects for the future.
Thanks kitty!
And thanks reddit, this is why I shouldn't check you early in the morning.

comfortable?
I went over to Kitty's yesterday to hang upside down for a bit, which meant I also spent some time with one of my favorite ladies. I love how initially she can't decide if she wants me to pet her head or her butt so she just spins in circles and stomps all over my feet. I need to remember not to wear open toed shoes when I come over next time.
Eventually she decides that she just wants to sit on me so she kind of backs herself up against me and sits, and I just have to deal with it. We sit like this for a while until she gets bored and wanders away, releasing me to go hang upside down for a bit.
After my hang I let her outside to run around and say hi to all her nice squirrel friends. That's actually the only way I was able to get this show dog quality photo of her:
She was locked in a battle of wits with a squirrel and nothing could distract her.
By the time we came back inside she was over me and went right over to her bed and laid down. I like that because it makes me feel not bad for having to leave her again. I want a nice doggy like her.
Maybe just a little bit smaller...

why isn't she allowed to party!?
I had such a fun time at Kitty's 4th of July party last night, my only complaint was that Bella was segregated to the back room. I honestly don't know why she didn't just step over the doggy fence as she easily could have. I guess she is just too well behaved for that nonsense.
It was so fun to go to a party in Sarasota that didn't consist entirely of family members. I actually met new people! Crazy! Of course one woman asked my sister and I if we were in high school which caused us both to laugh to the point of not even being able to explain why it was so funny.
And the food, oh the food, so much amazing 4th of July food. What I wouldn't give for some pasta salad right now.
But my heart still broke for the party guest that was not allowed to mingle with the other guests.
"Why oh why won't you just let me hang out and be nice and knock things over with my butt?"

3:00pm, 4:00pm, 5:00pm, 6:00pm, 7:00pm, 8:00pm
Colin walked me back to Meghan's and we had grand intentions of doing fun things, but instead just sat on the couch talking which was lovely. It was also overcast earlier in the day so I was trying to seek refuge, but as you can see here the sky had opened up again by three so I decided it was time to head back out in to the world.
By four we found ourselves in Union Square looking for food:
What we found was delicious sandwiches. Nothing is a better chaser for a green juice lunch than a blt. Mmmm, now my mouth is watering.
At this point Colin and I parted ways, he headed to his church, me headed to meet esha, and meghan at her work when she got out at five:
and even though I got THOROUGHLY chastised for sneaking these pictures of the McQueen exhibit I just couldn't resist because it was SO INCREDIBLY INCREDIBLE!!!
Pictures really don't do it justice. I don't know how else to say it. You really need to find your way here to see it for yourself before it goes away in August.
After our immersion in culture we found our way to Central Park for the six o'clock hour:
I really love this specific spot, I think because it's the entrance that I would have used the most when I first lived in the city. I've also had many a good picnic on that hill.
Esha and Meghan and I walked through the park and enjoyed each others company before separating shortly before seven so Meghan could go feed the cat she is cat sitting for. I was all excited to take a picture of this precious precious angel cat but when we arrived we found that the people had come home from vacation early, making for a very awkward exchange when we opened their front door. I felt like the situation was weird enough without me asking if I could take a picture of their cat so unfortunately my seven o'clock picture is of the hallway outside their apt:
I feel like this happens every year. I try really hard to be somewhere interesting at the top of the hour but inevitably there are one or two pictures of the most random and mundane thing. Like the year we had to put the camera in the cheese case at the grocery store and take a picture of us with the sandwich artists making our lunch at noon.
So yeah, not exciting but that was 7:00 and by this point I was (and still am) EXHAUSTED. But oh god, it was still daylight. So bright!
I had to come back to the apt because I needed water and a change of shoes and to not be wandering around anymore so Meghan took me down to the Bette Midler garden for some H2O and evening conversation. I thought I could make it to nine but surprisingly eight o'clock was the final hour of daylight, and I am pleased that I spent it in the garden that Bette built:
And I am secretly pleased that this day is FINALLY over. Omg, talk about the longest day of the year. It was like, really long.
So goodbye, enjoy, and I hope you all congratulate me tomorrow on my one year anniversary tomorrow.

I know how Lindsay feels
There was a time when we had so many cars in this driveway it was starting to look ridiculous, but now it sits deserted. Thanks to a certain someone needing the heat on in late May in Charleston my car is sitting in the shop today getting the a/c fixed. Scott graciously took me to drop it off but then headed out to a dr.'s appt so I'm left here all alone all day with no way to get anywhere.
Like really, even if I wanted to walk to one of the few places within walking distance I don't think I could because of my bum foot. Kitty said I might have broken a tiny bone in my foot. Blech. What's weird is that I can actually still do yoga, well mostly. The warriors are hard but otherwise it's actually quite nice to do it. It seems to stretch out the muscles and tendons that are getting horribly cramped by me walking like a gimp for the past two weeks. I just don't want to have to get a boot. I know so many people who had to get boots and it was never cool. I HAVE TO BE COOL!
Which brings me back to how I'm just like Lindsay. Maybe she's sitting at home right now just like me, browsing the internet, drinking her iced coffee. Maybe she'll do a google search for herself (not unlikely) and find my blog and be like, "oh we can relate, we should be best friends" and then she'll email me and invite me to her next rooftop bbbq. The extra b is for byobb.
Let me just go ahead and say I accept, just send me the details and I will head to california.
Now all I have to do is sit back and wait. Which is convenient since I have nothing else to do today.

i love her
Kitty invited me over this morning to try her inversion table (which was amazing), but the real treat was getting to meet this nice nice lady. This picture was taken after she finally calmed down enough to sit for me to take it, before this it was just a lot of blurry shots of her big face and nose.
Well that's not entirely true, I also took pictures when I first arrived to try and capture how I was greeted. Before anything else I heard her earth shaking bark, but then I just saw her face appearing over the very tall hedge running around the front porch. When she jumped up on her hind legs she was a good foot taller than me and while I would have liked to have captured that I am pretty pleased with this halfway shot I got:
You get the idea.
But talk about a complete love bug omg, she spent the majority of the time I was there just shoving herself against me and almost knocking me over, or sticking her face right in my face while I was hanging upside down. She was helping!!
The tear jerker for me was when Kitty and I were just chatting in the living room and she was off on her bed on her own. At some point I looked over to see her with the corner of her bed in her mouth kneading her big paws back and forth on the cushion.
: (
It was one of the most precious things I've ever seen.
As if Kitty even had to ask wether or not I would be interested in dog sitting.
