This morning Ms. Mariah Kitty passed away during her surgery to get fixed.  Apparently she had an enlarged heart.

I know you're up in heaven now with florida kitty, at least now I know she has company.

I am heartbroken.

    From one crazy cat person to another, I'm so sorry Ben. I know it hurts terribly! Having been an 'animal hoarder' much longer than you, I can say with great certainty that it never gets easier when tragedy strikes but I always find comfort in my cat friends who remain. They seem to know when I'm sad and bring on extra cuteness and affection just when I need it.
