yeah baby
I know it's not actually Austin Power's shaguar but that's what it reminded me of when I came around the corner and saw it parked in somebody's front yard.
I was nervous about taking the picture but then I realized that they had it out for advertising.
It worked on me!

a whole new cat
Heather introduced me to this amazing new brush that has truly changed the detective and my life forever.
I wish you could pet him, his coat is so soft and luxurious. The brush is really intense so I can only brush him for a few minutes each day before he gets irritated and hides from me. As a result it's been a slow and steady journey over the past week to get to the point where I can really see a difference. I have also noticed that I don't find any kitty hair tumbleweeds in my apt like I used to. Is a miracle!
As usual I should have known from the moment I saw the packaging that this was a quality A+ product. If not for this guy:
Or this guy:
Haha the one on the top reminds me of Paris with the no neck disgruntled face of confusion and the bottom picture pretty much accurately captures the expression on the detectives face after I've brushed him for a few minutes. Surprised, stimulated, betrayed, enraged; it's all there.
Just like the detective!
85% less fluffy, 100% angry.

Bold
This truck was parked in the garage at work yesterday. I almost walked right past it, I literally did a double take.
So many questions.
I mean, he's not unattractive, I guess I just don't understand where this picture came from. Did he use this picture back then to advertise his business or was this some kind of secret boudoir shot that he found years later.
And good for him for having a sense of humor about it. I guess the implication is that 40 years later nothing has changed. He's still the same hardworking Don Bailey who will laminate your kitchen floor and refinish your hardwood floors, all while wearing next to nothing.
Judging by his crazy parking job I guess Don is just as lithe and maneuverable as ever:
I mean, he'd have to use the passenger side right? Unless that other car wasn't there at the time. Either way, Don was obviously in a rush, I'm guessing he was on the job.
You don't get a corporate empire like that without being dedicated to your clients. And showing a little skin.
That's my business model.

good advertising
At first you might not get what the two things have to do with each other, but that's the genius of this. It get's you thinking, it gets you talking.
And it's a pick up truck with a giant kitty on it, and that's just nice.

amazing graffiti!!
So this is an ad on the side of a bus stop on the LES that I found on Friday night. It's an ad for Evian and it made me laugh that she is so beautiful and austere and has this funny little pencil thin mustache.Well as I was walking past it I noticed that the advertisement was behind a sheet of plastic and that the graffit0-tagger had drawn the mustache on the plastic on the outside. As I was passing I thought, "well that's going to be funny when they replace the advertisement with something else and it has a random mustache floating in the middle of it".
No sooner had the thought crossed my mind and the advertisement changed. It was one of those scrolly ads that rolls back and forth between two different ads, so this was the one that it scrolled to:

How funny is that!? It seriously made my night that the placement was so perfect for both of them. Do you think they drew the mustache on her or on him? Do you think they planned it like this or not? I hope whatever they replace this ad with it also has a person's face right in the center of it.

startlingly good graffiti

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this poster in the 96th street subway stop. Somebody did a fine job with this.
also, what a stupid looking show. I guess having never gone to a school with legitimate cheerleaders I don't really understand the appeal. I do keep telling Ariel that she should incorporate more cheerleading in to Tayisha Busay though, as she was the captain of her cheerleading squad in high school.

the best barbershop ever?

Just your friendly neighborhood barbershop, nothing out of the ordinary about this. But wait, lets take a closer look at those decals. Now, besides the ones that actually depict people getting their hair cut, which are pretty freaky on their own, there are two decals that just don't seem to belong. Why is there a woman eating a hotdog? Or actually, why is there a woman ever so gently sucking hot dog juice off her thump while she suggestively holds the wiener in her hand? What does this have to do with getting your haircut? Is it a haircut and hotdog establishment? If not, would anybody be intersted in franchising such a place with me? As questionable as the woman with the hotdog is it wasn't until Meghan pointed out what was right above her that I really began to be suspicious of this "barbershop". Now, it's been a while since I studied ASL, I think I can still sign my name but that's about it, but I'm pretty sure we all know what that's the universal gesture for.
Oh it's time alright, time for a haircut, a hotdog, and a little game of poke the hole.
love what?
This is an advertisement at the 86th st. subway stop. When I walked past the first time I saw the main ad and thought, ''wtf''. Upon closer inspection, apparently I wasn't the only one.
I'm guessing it's supposed to be macaroni and cheese? I don't know, I just feel like there was a better picture they could have used.

hahaha advertisers
so the advertisements on my page are supposed to be based on the content of my blog. I'm curious as to why all of the ads right now are for cancer treatments and liver failure prevention.
I only posted one thing about being wasted!
