I guess the camera on my phone isn't the best, but this is my favorite place on Lido beach, right at the end. There is a channel that goes between the two beaches where the water gets really deep suddenly. The result is the water goes from clear to green to dark blue and back to green really dramatically. I also appreciate that this is where Lido beach ends as it gives a good walking destination. Unlike the Isle of Palms beach which seems to end just around the riverbend but actually continues for miles. Meghan and I once attempted to walk to the end of Isle of Palms in a scene that ended up like Camus' the Stranger. All I remember is blinding heat and the insatiable thirst for murder.
