it's a beautiful day

I got called in to work later today which is just as well, but it motivated me to go for a run so I could at least enjoy some part of this amazing day.

I ran down A1A, where I'm amazed that they are still cleaning up from hurricane Sandy.

After I cleared the construction I continued to be distracted by things like this:

It kind of looks like the perfect job.

My eyes kept wandering to the perfect beach weather until I finally gave in and went for a swim.  It was so worth it.

I wasn't the only one enjoying this amazing day.  On my way back home I encountered this beauty: 

I thought it was funny that I saw a white lamborghini, a red and silver ferrari, and a midnight blue ferrari before I encountered a car that actually stopped me in my tracks to take a picture.  What got me was the interior: 

Talk about wood trim!  I also couldn't help but notice that the logos on the hubcaps are properly aligned, do you think they move independently like spinners?  

Hopefully the next time I see this car I won't have to go to work and I can just wait until the owner comes so I can ask them.  What do you think the person is like who drives that?  

I'm guessing they are fantastic.

Not that I'm looking for sympathy, I just think it's interesting that sections of A1A are still shut down from Sandy.

I'm not really clear about where that sand is from.  It's been piled at the side of the road for days now, I think maybe it's just from the neighborhood along the beach and they are trying to return it.  There were bulldozers just pushing it back on to the beach from here but otherwise it seemed like everybody was on break when I went past.

I would say the clean up is a lot more enjoyable here than it is in NYC.

But still there's definitely a lot to be done.  The piles of sand are up to the lifeguard stands!

That bitch Sandy is not messing around.

Am I the only person who sees things like this and immediately thinks of this.  Also, hats of to Mr. Van Leer for his use of the word "fools" when describing the people of Florida.  I can speak for myself and say it's the most appropriate word to describe me.

But for my new york friends, if you too are worried about your island sinking in to the sea tonight I can say that Sandy was a lot of hot air but it wasn't really such a big deal.  I mean, they didn't even close the mall.

And in her wake she left us with fantastic weather!
